Intro-

     D...D*

            D
Between the early autumn moon
                  G
And the late September sunset
                        A
The wind comes calling like a loon
                          D
Over the north rim of the canyon
               D
As we sing our lovers tune
                  G
In the days last dying embers
                 A
We know we must leave here soon
                  D D* A* Bm
Only the Mesa Top remembers

        A G D Bm
You and I in the late September moon
         A D
The world stood still while we played
     Bm A G D
If I had to do it over, I would do it that same way
        Bm A G Bm A D
You and I in the late September moon

D D
We were two days out of Denver
                  G
We were learning to be free
                            A
Westward journey toward the California coast
                          D
Just to see what we could see
                D
Took some time along the shore
                  G
In the days last dying embers
                    A
Pledged our love forever more
                 D D* A* Bm
Only the lonely beach remembers

        A G D Bm
You and I in the late September moon
          A D
The world stood still while we played
     Bm A G D
If I had to do it over, I would do it that same way
        Bm A G
You and I in the late September moon

D
             D
As we head into the mountains
               G
Like so many times before
              A
Just bathe in purest sunlight
                        D
And to watch the Eagles soar
                  D
We hold hands and then embrace
                 G
In the days last dying embers
                  A
We will make love one last time
                 D D* A* Bm
Only the mountainside remembers

        A G D Bm
You and I in the late September moon
          A D
The world stood still while we played
     Bm A G D
If I had to do it over, I would do it that same way
        Bm A G Bm
You and I in the late September moon
        A D
The world stood still while we played
     Bm A G D
If I had to do it over, I would do it that same way
        Bm A G
You and I in the late September moon
        Bm A G
You and I in the late September moon

About LLG♥

I’m a wife, mother and self-taught guitarist.   I first picked up a guitar in 2010 and haven’t put it down since!  I’m not that great of a player, but I get by.  Besides, my talent isn’t in the playing, it’s in the ears ;)

I first discovered I had an ear for transcribing music while playing tabs on Ultimate Guitar.  So many of them were just wrong!   I started making correct versions and it just grew from there.   I left UG having tabbed over 300 songs on that site.  (I was the #1 Daily Contributor for over 2 years straight, now I’m down to #7.  Not bad since I haven’t posted a tab on UG in over 3 years!)

In 2013  I created Live Love Guitar and amazingly enough, I’m still here!  I think users know they can count on correct, well formatted tabs.  I try to make my tabs as easy as possible while still being correct.  This makes a huge difference for new players!  I would have quit playing had I not learned the beauty of a capo and transposing :)  My capo is my best friend!!

Thanks for visiting and I hope I can keep up with all the song requests, keeping Live Love Guitar alive!  :)
