hi, i did not think that the chords matched the way the song goes
Well, shoot :( Make sure your guitar is in Standard Tuning- EADGBe. If you’re playing the chords correctly, your tuning would be the reason, because it does play directly along. In some cases, the song that the player is listening to has been ‘pitched’- so that YouTube doesn’t recognize it and remove it- and that would make the chords seem wrong as well.
So, check your tuning and get in EADGBe tuning and play along with the video above :)

ddudud for each chord. For the D chord in the verses you play the pattern through 2x’s.
An easier/slower pattern would be: d-pause,dud for each chord.
