Bruno Mars “When I Was Your Man” Guitar Chords
I kept getting requests to ‘fine tune’ the UG version and put it on here with the video. Mostly, timing issues are made easier by adding ‘queues’. Chord placement and a missing chord also added. 100% credit for figuring out the chord progression goes to Sunny Gunawan :)
NOTES-
1- I have troubles with the G7 for some reason. My G’s are played like this [320033] . So when I go from the G to the G7[320001], it sounds crappy. But if I just open the 3rd fret B string -[320003] for the G7 then it sounds fine and it’s just that slight change you hear in the song. It’s so much easier! (So technically because the way I play my G’s it would be a G5 [320033] to a Gmaj [320003] chord for that line.
2- The ‘(3)’ is for timing purpose’s. 3 beats/strums of that chord.
3- The ‘Dm(du)’ is meaning one down and then up strum in one beat. So the Dm before is strummed 3 times then a faster down/ up strum for that 4th beat.
4- The F to an Fm. I cheat the Fm like this- [x331xx] and it sounds works.
5- Nothing can be done about the D7 to Dm (that’s been a few of the problems for some…) All I can say is practice that chord change over and over. It’ll get easier :) Play along with the video!
