“The guitar does the healing but the song is the medicine…”

I received this comment by a UG user on my “A Thousand Years” tab and it’s such a genuine statement on how some songs & playing them can impact us-

“Cristy [sic] I have been playing since i was 18….am now 59…there is nothing like the guitar to take you to places where your heart can not find its way on its own…or to bring your heart back home after it has gone to a place to dark to remain in…the guitar does the healing but the song is the medicine…in all my years there have been a few songs like this one that can get you to where you need to be (Heartwise) Tears in Heaven comes to mind…..but this is a great song and you have done a great job thanks.”  Whytfang

“The guitar does the healing but the song is the medicine…”  pure awesomeness in that sentence!

PS- Here’s the thing about the [sic] if you don’t know what it means-

I never knew what it meant until way back when twitter came about and TV entertainment shows would post tweets and I would always see this “[sic]” in the quotes they were posting.  I finally looked it up.  It’s when there is a misspelled word in a quote.  (Now with all the shortening of words when using twitter, I don’t see it used much when re-quoting… unless it’s flat out a typo that has been made.)

Well, in the above quote my name is misspelled, which over on UG my profile name is cristy♥twilight so that’s why.  First of all- I was an idiot for ever picking that screen name and 2) the reason of ‘cristy’  is because of the limited characters I had to eliminate the’h’ from my name so it would fit.  So I get  ‘Cristy’ a lot over there:)
