So, the results are in….Out of 334 votes:

 

48% (161) of users have no desire to name their guitar.  I’m in that category.

38% (128) of female users under 25 named their guitar.

11% (36) of male users under 25 named their guitar.

1% (5) of female users over 25 named their guitar.

1% (4) of male users over 25 named their guitar

 

The last poll I did- “Have you named your guitar?”,  showed that the majority (42% to 32%) of those users who participated had in fact named their guitar.

At first glance at his this poll and the numbers, it seems to have switched on the whole ‘naming your guitar’ .  BUT- if you were to add the number of those who have named their guitar, no matter what their age is,  it’s- 51% (173).  That is still a majority vote that people are indeed naming their guitars.

So, this poll tells us the demographics, and the majority of those are young girls. Just what I expected ;)  If I had been a young adult when I got my first guitar, I probably would have named it too, lol.
