                           C
They tell you while you're young
                             Am
"Girls, go out and have your fun"

Then they hunt and slay the
Em F G G*
Ones who actually do it

                      C
Criticize the way you fly
                               Am
When you're soarin' through the sky
                              Em
Shoot you down, and then they sigh and say
      F G
"She looks like she's been through it"

G Am* Em* F
Lord, what will become of me
          F* Am* G
Once I've lost my novelty?

F G C
I've had, too much to drink tonight
      Gsus Am Am* G*
And I know, it's sad, but this is what I think about
      F G C
And I, wake up, in the middle of the night
          Gsus Am Am* G* F
It's like I can, feel time moving
                      G
How can a person know everything at eighteen
    C Gsus Am
But nothin' at twenty-two?
              F G*
And will you still want me,
                     C
When I'm nothin' new?

                    C
How long will it be cute
                      Am
All this cryin' in my room
                              Em
Whеn you can't blame it on my youth
               F G
And roll your eyes with affеction?
                          C
And my cheeks are growin' tired
                            Am
From turnin' red and fakin' smiles
                   Em F G
Are we only bidin' time 'til I lose your attention?

    G Am* Em* F
And someone else lights up the room
       F* Am* G G*
People love an ingénue

F G C
I've had, too much to drink tonight
    Gsus Am Am* G*
How did I go from growin' up to breakin' down
      F G C
And I, wake up, in the middle of the night
          Gsus Am Am* G* F
It's like I can, feel time moving
                      G
How can a person know everything at eighteen
    C Gsus Am
But nothin' at twenty-two?
              F G*
And will you still want me,
                     C
When I'm nothin' new?

I know someday I'm gonna meet her
       G** F*
It's a fever dream
    F G** F*
The kind of radiance you only have at seventeen
       F
She'll know the way and then she'll say
            G** F*
She got the map from me
     F G C
I'll say I'm happy for her, then I'll cry myself to sleep

        F Em F
Oh ohhh oh ohh oh
        C Am Em F
Oh ohhh ohohh ohohhoh ohohohoh

I've had(I've had) too much to drink tonight
                       *Am
But I wonder if they'll miss me
                      F*
Once they drive me out
               G* C*
I wake up(wake up) in the middle of the night

About LLG♥

Hello there! I’m a wife, mother and self-taught guitarist.   I first picked up a guitar in 2010 and haven’t put it down since! I’m not that great of a player, but I get by.  Besides, my talent isn’t in the playing, it’s in the ears ;)

I first discovered I had an ear for transcribing music while playing tabs on Ultimate Guitar.  So many of them were just wrong!   So, I started making correct versions and it just grew from there.   I left UG having tabbed over 300 songs on that site.  (I was the #1 Daily Most Popular Contributor for over 2 years straight, and I’m still in the top 10.  Not bad since I haven’t posted a tab on UG in many, many years!)

In 2013 I created Live Love Guitar and amazingly enough, I’m still here! I’m just a little site but I think users know they can count on correct, well formatted tabs.  I try to make my tabs as easy as possible while still being correct.  This makes a huge difference for new players!  I would have quit playing had I not learned the beauty of a capo and transposing :)  My capo is my best friend!!  (If you don’t have a capo, you must get one!  It makes the world of difference for beginners! Go now!  Then come back to Live Love Guitar and play away!)

Thanks for visiting and I hope I can keep up with all the song requests being submitted, keeping Live Love Guitar alive!  :)
